Vietnamese delegation from Binh Duong / Becamex visits Fontys ICT

A Vietnamese delegation from Binh Duong, led by representatives of Becamex, recently visited Fontys ICT as part of a collaboration facilitated by EIPO (Eindhoven Institute for the Promotion of International Cooperation). The visit was intended to explore potential areas for collaboration between the two institutions.

During the visit, Bart van Gennip and Lucienne Wijgergangs gave an illuminating presentation on the college's strengths in the field of ICT education and research. They emphasised Fontys ICT's close collaboration with industry partners, which offers students valuable practical experience and a direct link to the job market. They also discussed Fontys' innovative teaching methods, which focus on active learning, problem solving and interdisciplinary approaches to technology education. In addition, the delegation was introduced to the university's research groups and professorships, which are at the forefront of technological innovation and build bridges between the academic world and the business community.

At the end of the visit, an important step was taken in the formalisation of the partnership. Agreement was reached on a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), with the aim of finalising and signing the MoU within the next three months. This agreement marks the beginning of what is expected to be a fruitful collaboration in the fields of education, research and industry involvement.

The visit underlines Fontys ICT's commitment to building international partnerships that promote innovation and improve the global exchange of knowledge and expertise.
