On 24 and 25 May UNESCO-UNEVOC organised the conference "Managing skills in times of disruption" in Bonn. UNEVOC is the centre within UNESCO that focuses on Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET). In the Netherlands these are (pre-vocational) secondary education and higher professional education, but also vocational training focused on skills development at the workplace.
Robert Schuwer had been invited from his UNESCO Chair on OER to lead a workshop titled “Preparing TVET teachers for the digital future". In addition, he participated in two panel discussions about this subject. The invitation resulted from a study that was carried out from his lectorate for UNESCO into the state of affairs on the adoption of Open Educational Resources in TVET, worldwide.
