FHICT students win 1st and 2nd place at Capture The Flag

On Wednesday 28 September, five FHICT students, Bastiaan Appeldoorn, Chiem Janssen, Jort Geurts, Vincent Denneman and Jefferey Hanssen formed two teams that participated in a CTF organised by Fortytwo Security.

This CTF featured Marvin from The Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy. It was chock full of funny and useful references to the world of that great book. Eight teams composed of 2 or 3 people competed.

The challenges ranged from simple SQL injections to custom protocols that needed to be reversed. With pizza, chips and other assorted refreshments, out students accepted the challenge and won both 1st and 2nd place!
