New website launched for Fontys ICT InnovationLab
Practical research with Flower Power
The project aims to use drones to measure biodiversity. The drones must capture images correctly so that artificial intelligence can recognize the flowers. It is an example of the kind of applied research that Fontys University of Applied Sciences ICT students do together with researchers and business partners (united in cooperative SPARC) within the Fontys ICT InnovationLab. By tackling encapsulated research and work field assignments, students already learn during their education what is expected of them as future ICT professionals. Moreover, the creation of knowledge enriches education, research and business. This form of education fits perfectly within the Brainport region.
A distinct style, identity and website for Fontys ICT InnovationLab
The launch of an InnovationLab website is an important step. The experimental educational environment is not only a pressure cooker for innovation, but also for educational renewal. To make this more visible to educational innovators who closely follow developments in hybrid learning environments and to the business community (which has a crucial role in the viability of this way of training), the Fontys ICT InnovationLab has been given its own identity and branding. The Fontys link is preserved, but it charges a unique identity and form that is still unprecedented.
Educational innovators and innovative companies
Although the Fontys ICT Innovationlab hosts education from Fontys School of ICT, that does not mean that SPARC partner companies operate exclusively in that branch. Any industry looking for innovation can join. Also, for educationalists and people interested in innovation the doors are open. If interested, we invite everyone to take a look at fontysictinnovationlab.nl or contact us at fhict-innovationlab@fontys.nl. We will be happy to tell you more.
